  • You have to own Tropical Kangaroo model to make use of this texture https://tropicalcreatures.gumroad.com/l/iAHEI.
  • You have to use Tropical Kangaroo version 3.7 (not the beta).
  • Your Unity project needs Poiyomi Toon Shader 7 shader.
  • You have to know how to setup an avatar in Unity if you want to use it in VRChat.
  • (Optional: )
    • Substance Painter if you want to edit this texture.
    • Poiyomi Pro 7 if you want to use the material version with extra effects.

  • Open a fresh Unity avatar project.
    • (Unity 2022 avatar project with VRChat SDK of at least 3.6.1 to use the preconfigured Scene).
  • Import Tropical Kangaroo 3.7 avatar Unity asset (includes Poiyomi 7.3.046).
  • Import the Bondi Unity asset.
  • Open the provided Scene in Bondi folder after import and/or follow the README file there.

Troubleshooting

1) Material in Unity is pink / Material shader is "hidden/internal Error Shader"

This might mean that Unity cannot link the material's shader with Poiyomi. Make sure Poiyomi is imported into your Unity project (should already be included in Tropical Kangaroo package) and it's the right version (7 - free/pro).
If you're sure Poiyomi is in your project click on the material and in the Inspector in Shader dropdown manually select Poiyomi->Poiyomi Toon from the list.

2) Material/shader properties look broken

Try restarting project and Unity. Make sure you haven't imported two different Poiyomi versions on top of each other.

3) Can I use standard shader?
Yes, but you'd have to not use transparency (it glitches).

4) Poiyomi Pro silicon looks glitchy on some worlds
Some worlds use effects that might affect how the transparent parts look with Poiyomi Pro effects.

5) How to apply eyes material
Drop it in both eyes and eyes_lens material slots
